breaks-infused ‘We Want Your Soul’. For further proof of the German wizards talents, its been snapped up by Steve Angello’s SIZE records label
and been given a full release – if Size really does matter, then Moguai’s huge new anthem will be the focal point of the Christmas break.

‘We Want Your Soul’ is typical Moguai fare, with “LYVE”, electrified synth rhythm’s offering a light, jumping track,
before the break wades in with pulsing bass-laden stabs, vocal chops and bouncing bass,
wrapped in major tonal chords, offering a pounding yet light hearted and party-fuelled banger.

Another great release to end the year off with a huge bang - and there’s more to come in 2011.

HARDWELL REMIXES NADIA ALI

Nadia Ali is without a doubt one of the leading female vocalists in the house scene. Formerly known as IIO, Nadia Ali has put out a remix package of her classics, currently the Avicii remix is scoring high with his interpertation of Rapture.
Our man Hardwell was asked by Nadia herself to remix the other big IIO track, ‘At The End’ which resulted in a bigroom melodic dancefloor killer.
The release is planned for 21st of December, sure to hit high in the charts again.

Avicii is already hitting charts again with his next single 'Avicii vs Sebastien Drums - My Feelings For You' and already listed on BBC UK's Radio 1 after being picked Record of the Week by Fearne Cotton (weekdays 9pm-12pm on Radio 1) earlier this month.
All this while Bromance is charting in new markets, Denmark (#3), Switzerland (entry at #65 this week) and Germany.
Avicii will be ending his extensive 2010 world tour in North America. After this there will be two weeks of vacation/performance break until end of January/beginning of February.

The result, Got A Soul, is an ambitious and creative musical assault that nonetheless gives the original the respect it deserves.

Tackling a record belonging to a true house legend such as Todd 'the God' Terry is not a task to be undertaken lightly. Yet the duo have come up trumps in creating the perfect balance between referential and truly fresh, making their reverent nod to the past with eyes fixed firmly on the future.

The result is a dancefloor banger that sounds bang up to date and completely belongs in the new era house canon. Their use of the rousing speech sample is inspired - after letting the track build for a while the proclamations of the speaker slot in perfectly. It is undoubtedly the kind of oratory talent designed to whip up the audience into a passionate frenzy, and once this type of elevation is added to a pounding dance track even the coldest-hearted of audiences will feel elevated and enthused.

Warren Fellow vs Remy - 6 november - Paard van Troje!

Het wordt weer tijd voor een potje Hollands glorie; gewoon wat goede artiesten van eigen bodem op een gezellige winteravond in het Paard van Troje. Op 6 november 2010 zullen de Nederlandse helden Warren Fellow en Remy het Paard van Troje laten zien wat ze waard zijn.

De Rotterdamse DJ/producer Warren Fellow maakt naam met zijn opzwepende ietwat duistere techno-sound, die hij onder de aandacht brengt via zijn eigen label Smoke Re...cords. Hij brak enkele jaren geleden definitief door met zijn optredens op grote feesten als Awakenings, Extrema en Intercity, maar ook zijn producties gaan als warme broodjes over te toonbank, wat resulteerde in het feit dat Warren tegenwoordig onderdak heeft gevonden bij Anna Agency. Hij stond onlangs voor het eerst op Lowlands en wist met zijn energieke set een bijzondere connectie met het publiek te maken. Daarnaast is hij tegenwoordig regelmatig in het buitenland te vinden en mogen we dus erg blij zijn dat hij er bij zal zijn op 6 november!

Bij een goede techno avond in Den Haag is er één iemand die onmogelijk kan ontbreken: Remy! Clublegende, Hagenees in hart en nieren, producer van toptracks. Vanaf de tijd dat een groot deel van ons nog buiten aan het spelen was is Remy al bezig met het maken en draaien van goede housemuziek. Hij is begonnen met zijn residency op de evenementen van Stichting De Confrontatie, de moeder van vele (acid)housefeesten in Den Haag. Ontdekt door Joost van Bellen werd de Hagenees in de Amsterdam één van de drie RoXy-grootheden: Dimitri, Marcello & Remy. Maar Remy is niet alleen bekend vanwege zijn verleden. Vele producties die in de platentassen van de groten der aarde zitten komen van Remy zijn hand. Remy draait nog steeds mee aan de top en dat is waarom hij niet mag ontbreken op 6 november!

MARCO V's TAO AT PACHA NY REVIEW // A Love for DJing: Marco V

At the Trance Takeover on September 24 and 25 at hot spot Pacha, throngs of people inside and out were there to experience the non-stop party of all (music) things fast, bumpy, scratchy and exhilarating in sound.

One of the DJs performing was Marco V, an internationally known DJ, who in a simple black V-neck tee took immediate control of the tools in front of him, while giving the raucous crowd some of the loudest and most party-pumping tunes of a dark ambience, in contrast to the colorful, near-by Times Square. After his three hour set, still buzzing from the contagious high-energy atmosphere inside of Pacha, Marco V was able to set aside some time to chat on why he loves his (very cool) job.


What inspires you to DJ? What do you feel you contribute to the game?

Well, I reason I DJ is because I like music, and for me, djing is a pleasure. Luckily people really enjoy what I am doing.There is no greather meaning than having a good time.


That's great! What would you say is the difference between djing in Europe in comparison to New York City (or the United States in general)?

That's a good one. The thing is, in the U.S., people really respect what you're doing, and they allow the DJ to really do their thing. In Europe, especially in Holland, they mostly want to hear what they want, not the other way around, which is frustrating in a hilarious way. So it's particulary fun to DJ in America. They trust you'll know what to play.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a welcomed change at times too because of that. What kind of genres or songs you like to play the most when you're in the zone?

Hmmm, well, I'm not as picky on what to play as people may think. Like tonight, I played trance, electronica, dance, a little pop, a little bit of everything. It was my second time playing at Pacha and it was great. The crowd was very responsive which definitely gave me even more reason to keep going.

Marco V strikes again at the Annual DJ Awards!

The “V Man” did it again!
Last year at the 12th annual DJ Awards in Ibiza, Marco V won the DJ Award for “Best Tech-House DJ” and now, a year later, he left all other nominees in his category behind and took home the prestigious award for “Best Techno DJ”!

With competition from the world’s best Techno DJ’s including Carl Cox, Cristian Varela, Jeff Mills, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath and Umek, it may have come as a surprise to some that Marco received the award in this particular category.
But as Marco successfully launched his new concept T.A.O. (The Art Of) to cater for his eclectic “V-Sound” last month and by winning this award, it shows that Marco can top every genre!

Marco speaks about winning this award:

“I can hardly believe it, Wow!!
I really never expected winning this award, especially in this category, nevertheless I am so grateful, honored and intensely happy with the support from all the people and fans who voted for me!!" Marco says.

We can say, 2010 has been an amazing year for Marco V, with phenomenal events, hit releases such as “Reaver”, the kick off of a new compilation series and as the end of the year approaches, there’s even plenty more to come from our man!
