The party will take over all four areas of the venue, but the most exciting thing is the all-star line up. Vegas Weekly presents: Bart B More - 7.5 questions

A prediction for 2010: The Netherlands takes over the world.

At least when it comes to electronic dance music.
Yet another Dutch export is garnering the attention of the industry alongside Junkie XL, Martijn ten Velden, Laidback Luke, Menno de Jong and, of course, Armin van Buuren and Ti ësto (to name just a few). Bart B More is rising in the DJ/producer ranks and embarking on a North American tour, which includes a January 31 gig in Las Vegas. Even if you’re not familiar with the 26-year-old, you may want to catch him Sunday at Moon before he becomes the next mega-star DJ that clubbers will clear their bank accounts for just to get an ear in the door.

Bart B More: GIANT gig moves from Code to SUTRA THIS THURSDAY, JANUARY 28, 2010

Due to recently imposed limitations on the capacity and production capabilities at Code, GIANT is relocating our long running OC Thursday Club Night to SUTRA.

We’d like to thank the staff, management and ownership of Code for all their support as we launch at SUTRA this Thursday, January 28, with Bart B More and continue at SUTRA every Thursday thereafter with upcoming artists such as Christopher Lawrence, D Ramirez and the ‘Rebel Rave’ Tour with Damian Lazarus and Jamie Jones.

Keeping with recent tradition, we will continue to offer Complimentary Admission (w/ RSVP) for GIANT Thursdays at SUTRA as well as “EXPRESS IT” Online Tickets. Click here to RSVP for Complimentary Admission or to “EXPRESS IT.”

SUTRA, under new ownership and management, features a newly constructed stage, an expanded dance floor and, of course, a “thunderous” EAW Sound System. With its luxurious booth seating inside and outside on the spacious patio, it’s no wonder why MAXIM Magazine pegged SUTRA as one of the Top Ten Nightclubs in America.

SUTRA is located at 1870 Harbor Boulevard in Triangle Square, Costa Mesa’s popular nightlife destination, with multiple levels of free parking. Pre-clubbing dinner is also available at SUTRA, for complete details and information, go to www.sutrabar.com. For VIP bottle service, dial 949.235.7880.

And away we go…

This Thursday in Orange County… Bart B More @ SUTRA. One of Holland’s finest newcomers in house music, it was Laidback Luke who recognized Bart B More’s talent and helped him develop his talent over time. It paid off when Bart’s ‘Hyped Up’ tore up dancefloors all over the world with plays from Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Mark Knight and Luke himself. BA2LA and Big J open. Marco V, Jean & UB40 at Indian Summer Festival

Dance Floor Dopeness: Bart B More

The Fresh Beat recently had an opportunity to peak inside the brain of Holland's own Bart B More. As you all know Bart is a cat who is consistently cool with his work. Defiantly one of the front runners in the House Music world. Get your mind right and dive in to this Fresh Beat Exclusive!

So without further ado,

We bring to you:

Bart B More - Dance Floor Dopeness:

MIAMI VICE: B more is A blend of Hip Hop and chopped staccato house music created in Baltimore Maryland in the early 1990s. Is this style what influenced you to become the Bart we know today?
BART B MORE: Yes and no. I really like B more music but I only discovered it a few years ago and after I decided to produce and DJ under the name of Bart B More. So the whole B more sound inspired me but in relation to my artist name it’s one big coincidence!

MV: Who in your eyes will be the top house DJ's of 2010.
BBM: I think Harvard Bass, Bingo Players & Afrojack will do really well this year!

MV: You will be at Mansion on the 23rd how does the energy and vibe of Miami compare to other cities?
BBM:Well Miami has proven to be a real party city, it’s no coincidence the entire dance scene unites here every year in March. Miami is all about partying and having fun and you can see and feel it everywhere. Must be because of the sun or something.

MV: What is your favorite city and venue to spin at?
BBM: I really enjoyed Social Club in Paris and Fuse in Bruxelles.

MV: You have been described as "holland's finest export", what are your favorite Imports?
BBM: Music and movies to fuel my hobbies!

MV: Your production's are always dripping with funkified flavor, what fuels your funk? Any preproduction ritual's you partake in?
BBM: Thanks! That’s the stuff my older brothers used to listen to when I was young so I kinda grew up with it. I need the funk in the music to be able to dance to it.

MV: What factors propelled you to the level you are at now other than your raw talent?
BBM: Being a music nerd I think. I’m basically working with music 24/7 and I think that’s what keeps developing me as a producer and a DJ. That’s the good part about being obsessed with music, if you spend a lot of time creating stuff you keep getting better at it.

MV: Do you have any plans for the Winter Music Conference?
BBM: I’ll definitely be there! Looks like I’m going to play 4 or 5 different party’s this year… I hope to be able to give some more information on that soon!

MARCO V - PREDATOR/SONG IN YOUR HEAD - OUT NOW

Opening the year in predictably formidable fashion, the Dutch godfather of trance Marco V welcomes us into the new decade with a massive double hitter, Predator and Song In My Head.

Underlined by buoyant and assertive synths and tailored with commanding percussion, at the heart of Predator are the ghaunting vocals of Khashassi, who previously captivated fans on Scenario. One of the more melodic tracks from Propaganda V2, Predator has been causing a stir both in the clubs and on the net – watch the YouTube video right here - http://bit.ly/8jogQF

Wasting no time, Song In My Head displays fantastic atmosphere as soon as you hit the play button. Driving and hypnotic, the track focuses on gradual changes, big builds and looping melodies. The unique hook laden vocals of Benjamin Bates need no introduction as they reverberate throughout, meshing with relentless tech rhythms produced to devastating and clinical effect by the V-Man.

Predator and Song In My Head will be released on Maelstrom in the UK and on In Charge Records worldwide on January 12th 2009. Stay tuned for the DJ Dero ‘Song In My Head’ remix and Funkerman’s house remix of ‘Predator’.

Get it now: Marco V - How You Feeling / Inconsistent Talk

How You Feeling revisits the classic elements of trance; compressed layers of electronica driving along the mid-section of the composition, while a secondary top line weaves itself in and out before taking overall charge of the track. Cunningly crafted and charged with commanding percussion, How You Feeling should derail even the most demanding of dance floors.

Marco then throws out Inconsistent Talk and gives a nod to break-beat, with syncopated industrial rhythms and a twisted vocal line running throughout the track. Still very much a hands-in-the-air tune, the bubbling bass and filthy, warping, electro grooves that throb underneath guarantee to get the crowd moving, leaning much further towards the darker, harder side of Marco?s repertoire.

BART B MORE'S NORTH AMERICA TOUR

Bart kicks off his North America tour by returning to the famous Cielo club in New York on the 21st of January. For more tour dates check the gig section on our website!
Cielo says:
In the last twelve months Bart B More has remixed everyone from French funksters Alan Braxe & Fred Falke to indie darlings the Editors, with even Tiesto, Kraak & Smaak and the Crookers in between. Defying pigeonholing the Dutchman's love for beat-driven, looped techno music with big room house and electro has seen him create a refreshing new crossover sound that many have followed. As a DJ he's rocked dancefloors from Miami to Middlesborough, Paris to Prague and Sydney to Amsterdam, winning the crowd with his energized sets. Bart arrives at Cielo on Thursday 21st headlining Dance.Here.Now, the first of a nine-dates North American tour. Treasure Fingers, the Fools Gold recordings artist, best known for the mammoth future disco hit, 'Cross The Dancefloor', and remixing the likes of Little Boots, Wale & Lady Gaga, Chromeo and Miike Snow, joins him in the booth. Genres will collide. Dancefloors will rock. Fun will be had.

HARDWELL GOES DOWN UNDER

Australia! Get ready! Ministry of Sound will plug you into the future of house music with Jacked.
Jacked is about putting world class artists back where they should be: on amazing sound systems with no volume restrictions in a specially tailored party environment. It’s about unique productions, drinks in cups, and people who are there for the some reason as you – the party!
Jacked is touring nationally from 22 – 27 January in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.
Headlining Jacked are three of the hottest international dance music stars – Afrojack, Wolfgang Gartner and Hardwell.
MOS writes:
At just 21 it's fair to say Hardwell's 'been around' if you take into consideration his achievements over the past 18 months. "Guess What", a recent co-production with Chuckie, is likely to be one of the most played underground house records of the past two years, while the "Show Me Love vs. Be" bootleg of Steve Angello and Laidback Luke's track and "MRKRSTFT" were some of the biggest dance hits of recent times. Behind the decks he never fails to deliver with exceptional technical skills, a variety of music and an added personal touch that makes him stand out.

Will A-trak produce Madonna's next album?

Madonna has reportedly secured DJ A-Trak as a producer for her next studio album.

The 'Celebration' singer, whose last record Hard Candy was released in 2008, is said to want an "old skool" feel to her new material.

Speaking about the direction of the record, A-Trak told the Daily Star: "It's my production, turned into song structure - halfway between rap and electronic and whatever else I listen to."

Madonna is also expected to work with Pearl Jam producer Brendan O'Brien on the album, which is provisionally scheduled for release later this year.

A-Trak has previously worked with Armand Van Helden as duo Duck Sauce, who released single 'aNYway' in October.

Koen Groeneveld: Betaport Best Seller 2009!

After "Wake Turbulence" was nominated at the beatport awards for 2009 as best techno track of 2008.
Koen Groeneveld just featured in the Beatport Best Seller of 2009 Chart.
Beatport Best Seller #6: Fat Boy Slim vs Koen Groeneveld - "Rockafella Skank". (Skint/Toolroom)
10 years after its original release, Fatboy Slim's ageless track "Rockafeller Skank" has been reworked; and generally speaking, I love when this happens. Koen Groeneveld, a somewhat unknown producer, teched up the classic for today’s market. This room-filler is sure to get it started, especially when the unforgettable hook drops.
"Every track in this list is a proven hit and essential must have for any DJ or fan of electronic music." (Beatport).
