Marco V - V.ision #4 The return of V.ision

Big news for the V-fans: Marco V continues his V.ision series! The fourth part of this legendary sequence will be released at April 19 and is available for download worldwide. With this, Marco gets back to the roots of the unique V-sound he developed in the nineties. Critics still consider the V.ision releases as the foundation of a new wave in dance, that nowadays is known as ‘tech-trance’. With V.ision 4, the master is back again to translate this concept to music with a bundle of two sharp productions: ‘Greed’ and ‘Greyhound’.

For those who have followed the dancescene for a while, the concept of tech-trance may not be new. It is defined as music with strong techno rhythms that suddenly flow into catchy trance melodies. This cross-over style found its origin in the nineties and pointed out to be a great variety to the traditional trance sound. At this time visionary Marco V was considered as one of the leaders of this new wave; today his V.ision releases count up to more than 25.000 sold records! And now, after more than ten years, Marco V brings this legendary series back to life.

With V.ision 4 Marco V stays true to the particular sound that defines him. The release consist two very dynamic tracks that both carry the typical tech-trance sound. The first one is called ‘Greed’ and has a warm, funky techno rhythm enriched with a sharp, refreshing synthesizersound. On the other hand, the tuneful production ‘Greyhound’ leaves you with strong desire to the years of ‘Indicator’ and ‘Simulated’. With its strong build-up from melody to beat this track is perfect to work the big crowds. V.ision 4 is released on Monday 19 April and is available at all download stores.

Meer nog dan binnen andere muziekstromingen wordt vernieuwing in de electronische muziek gezien als het grootste goed. Artiesten zijn als de dood door de status quo te worden afgeschreven, wanneer ze niet met hun tijd meegaan. Zodoende volgen dancehypes elkaar sneller op dan kledingrages en voelen veel dj’s/producers zich genoodzaakt concessies te doen aan vluchtige modegrillen. Voor de korte termijn kan dat zijn charme hebben, maar uiteindelijk gaat het tegen je werken. DJ Sneak is nooit gezwicht voor het kortstondige. Sinds de vroege jaren negentig is hij trouw gebleven aan zijn eigen, tijdloze housegeluid. Een loyaliteit die hem na jaren van marginalisering terug in de spotlights brengt.

Besides Koen's big room Original Mix there are remixes from two biggies of the World Techno elite: Lutzenkirchen and Umek! Lutzenkirchen delivers a fine piece of that famous Munich techno sound where he's best known for. Umeks trademark, that dark pounding uplifting techno, is all over his version of "Fly-By-Wire"!

MARCO V: BRINGING IT TO THE BIG ROOMS

Inthemix.com.au interviewed Marco as his Australian Tour is coming up.
After a triumphant 2009 punctuated by a couple of Australian visits for Sensation NYE and Trance Energy, Dutch tech-trancer Marco V is due back here in May for our inaugural Creamfields. With fans champing at the bit for the his sets in the Cream arena, the man is just as enthused.
“Creamfields is going to be mammoth,” he tells inthemix in a rare moment of downtime. “I have a great history with the festival and to be involved in bringing it to Australia for the first time is a 2010 highlight. It’s been 12 months since I was there last for Trance Energy and I had a blast. I’ve been doing a whole lot of smaller club gigs, so it’ll be nice to cut loose again with a big room ambience.”

Dutch DJ & Producer Quintin started DJ-ing in 1997 at the age of 15. After many years of experience, Quintin has grown to a DJ known for his refined DJ-kills, energetic sets, his looks and hit releases.
A rapidly growing number of DJ bookings lead to gigs all over Europe. Besides these international highlights Quintin’s name appeared on line-ups of huge festivals like Innercity, Trance Energy, Sensation, Mysteryland, Pleasure Island, Madhouse, Tiesto CEE tour and Dance Valley.

After moving to Prague, Czech Republic in 2005 and a successful start of his DJ career in Eastern Europe, Quintin came back to his home country.
To enhance his producer skills, Quintin studied Pro-audio & Recording Engineering and graduated in 2008 leading to his signing in 2009 at one of world’s largest dance companies Spinnin’ Records. His single "Bleep it!" on their youngest label Made in NL reached the number 1 position at dancetunes.com. After a worldwide release, the track was picked up by big names like: David Guetta, Laurent Wolf, Laidback Luke and DJ Jean.
Another big tune Quintin produced last year, "Original Dutch", became a massive radio hit. It was announced as GRAND SLAM (single of the week) at Dutch Radiostation SLAM!FM.
Besides his own productions, Quintins remix skills are highlight-worthy. Several remixes reached the top 1 position on download portal dance-tunes.com and are played by DeeJays worldwide.

In 2009 Quintin's achievements got rewarded by the 'DJ talent of the year award', an initiative SLAM!FM - Holland's biggest dance music radio. In the same year he moved to Amsterdam for more opportunities and with great success!

At the moment Quintin is working on several collaborations and remixes, keep an ear out, ‘cause 2010 is set to be a big year!
