Marco V strikes again at the Annual DJ Awards!

The “V Man” did it again!
Last year at the 12th annual DJ Awards in Ibiza, Marco V won the DJ Award for “Best Tech-House DJ” and now, a year later, he left all other nominees in his category behind and took home the prestigious award for “Best Techno DJ”!

With competition from the world’s best Techno DJ’s including Carl Cox, Cristian Varela, Jeff Mills, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath and Umek, it may have come as a surprise to some that Marco received the award in this particular category.
But as Marco successfully launched his new concept T.A.O. (The Art Of) to cater for his eclectic “V-Sound” last month and by winning this award, it shows that Marco can top every genre!

Marco speaks about winning this award:

“I can hardly believe it, Wow!!
I really never expected winning this award, especially in this category, nevertheless I am so grateful, honored and intensely happy with the support from all the people and fans who voted for me!!" Marco says.

We can say, 2010 has been an amazing year for Marco V, with phenomenal events, hit releases such as “Reaver”, the kick off of a new compilation series and as the end of the year approaches, there’s even plenty more to come from our man!

Firebeatz are young Dutch collaborative duo Tim Benjamin Smulders & Jurre van Doeselaar. Despite a hectic touring and festival schedule this summer they've still found the time to work on their tunes. "Don't even try it punk!" - next time you hear those words, make sure you think of Firebeatz and of this tune. Marco V's T.A.O. Aftermovie!

MAGICAL DEBUT FOR MARCO V’S TAO!

It was probably one of the last hot summer nights in Holland, but what a way to close the outdoor season!
Marco V chose to launch his new party-concept and imprint T.A.O. in his hometown Heeswijk-Dinther. At a very impressive location in the middle of the forest, called “De Kersouwe”.
 
“Unique” is the right word for this totally sold out debut spectacle.
The beautiful location, the amphitheatre, which can only be reached by a fairytale-like track way, can be described as an old Arena.
The crowd, that arrived early, was clearly impressed by the fabulously decorated area, with a massive decor, full of visuals, effects and lightshows, which created an intimate and mysterious atmosphere!

Firebeatz update

The past month they had some real big names supporting their tracks. David Guetta played Hidden Sound 4 weeks in a row at his famous Radio FG show. The big boys from Sweden, The Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso & Steve Angello) played Hidden Sound several times during their sets as well. Watch it here!

Chocolate Puma update

CP at Sanctuary
1,100 of Dubai’s ‘beautiful people’ poured through the doors at Sanctuary last month to catch a one-off set from Dutch duo Chocolate Puma. The energetic house started late at 12.45am, but the boys held the decks right through until the end of the night with a good number of new tracks thrown in. A break in the music gave way to gold-clad Nu Rave dancers and a percussionist whacking out some crazy rhythms. This excited the crowd even further, and several ravers tried to get up on the stage and join in on the action. Shame if you weren’t there to witness this unique moment!

Fierce Rulling Diva - Rubb it in (Chocolate Puma remix)
The biggest rave record ever to come out of The Netherlands would definately be Fierce Rulling Diva - Rubb it in.  
After 19 years (yes, it’s that old) Bart B More got the rights to re-release this gem on his Secure Recordings imprint. He thought Chocolate Puma is old school enough to do a remix and so they did the remix. Bring on synth stabs, glow sticks and shouting diva’s.

Since storming onto the Dutch music scene in early 2008, Holland based duo Firebeatz have swiftly merited a reputable and solid name for themselves from the start!

Youngsters Tim and Jurre met each other at the School of Arts in Tilburg, the Netherlands, where they discovered their musical chemistry and decided to join forces!
With their distinctly unique sound which boasts infectious bass hooks, insanely catchy vocals, compulsive beats, groove and drive, this house-duo quickly caught the ears of certain famous DJs such as Kid Massive and Jeroenski who helped spread the gospel and gain support from the likes of Fedde Le Grand, Roger Sanchez and Prok & Fitch in the clubs.

Quickly after this, these Dutch house kids got bookingrequests for great festival gigs in the summer of 2009. With performances at Rockit Festival, Outdoor Festival, Free Your Mind Festival and Zomerkriebels Festival and some nice residences at Sound Of Love, Superstars & Club Rex they quickly made a name for themselves in the Dutch club scene.

In 2010 Dutch label Flamingo Recordings, which needs no introduction, picked up this young duo and signed them. JoeySuki, born in 1988, is a young up-and-coming DJ/Producer that started creating his own sound from the age of 15. In 2006 he made is debut on the famous Dutch label ‘Sneakerz’, which got big support from DJ’s such as Erick E, Laidback Luke and Sidney Samson.

Producing music really has been a revelation to both labels and artist. The vast variety of remix assignments and collaborations with other big talents create an ever flagrant musical output. At JoeySuki Headquarters the main objective is to build a phenomenal and versatile product with that refreshing feel to it. Originality is of great importance.
