Firebeatz are young Dutch collaborative duo Tim Benjamin Smulders & Jurre van Doeselaar. Now in their third year of producing and playing records together, they have a fat stack of releases and remixes under their belts, along with some epic collaborations and a great name for themselves in the scene.

Despite a hectic touring and festival schedule this summer they've still found the time to work on their tunes. Following on from their double smash Magic People/2 Time's The Charm released on Blackbird earlier this year comes PUNK! - A record with exactly as much attitude as the title suggests. "Don't even try it punk!" - next time you hear those words, make sure you think of Firebeatz and of this tune. You probably won't need reminding of that though - we have a sneaking suspicion you'll be hearing this record a lot over the summmer and beyond. .
 It's a defiant track, as anything related to punk should be. Yet PUNK! also has that anthemic edge, brought about by the stomping hook following that special sample. It's that tantalising mix of aggression and catchiness that makes for really superb house records, something Firebeatz have truly mastered on this record.
